Kitchen, bathroom & pergola, Narraweena

Custom-built minimalism in white;
expansive outdoor living

In a duplex on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this kitchen incorporates a butler’s pantry. The brief was “bright white and minimalist”. Its polyurethane cabinetry, free of handles and custom-built to measure, is in Vivid White and the Caesarstone benchtops are also white. The client wanted the floors to be extra-durable so they decided on porcelain tiling throughout that level, in a contrasting charcoal. The long frosted window built into the far splashback provided natural daylight over the gas cooktop and food prep area.

The bathroom is entirely clad in striking large marble-effect tiles and also features custom-built cabinetry and the same charcoal porcelain floor tiles.

These tiles were extended outside to the rear pergola to form a fantastic continuous entertaining space when the large black aluminium sliding doors are open. These photos show the structure of the pergola before the cladding was applied, with some translucent panels functioning as skylights. Guttering and fascia were extended across to match the house.
